Standard stators and rotors tend to wear out earlier under real‑world site conditions.Cold winter weather makes mortar harder to flow. When pumping materials to high‑rise floors, working pressure can go above 1.6 MPa. At older construction sites, mortar may contain fine stone grains because screening work is not done properly.All these factors accelerate rotor wear and stator damage. Conventional spare parts will see a quick drop in conveying pressure.

 

We have carried out three targeted improvements on our chrome‑plated Progressive cavity pump stator‑rotor set, to handle these tough operating conditions.

First, chrome plating thickness is increased to 0.04‑0.05 mm. We apply a micro‑crack sealing treatment on the surface. This treatment stops alkaline substances inside mortar from seeping in and corroding the rotor base material. The rotor can run for a long time in cement mortar with high alkalinity at pH 12, and no rust will form.

Second, hard‑alloy guide segments are installed on both ends of the rotor. These parts keep the rotor from shifting sideways under heavy load. It prevents the rotor from hitting the inner wall of the stator. Equipment lock‑up and shutdown caused by hard particles can therefore be avoided.

Third, we use a custom‑made variable‑pitch profile. The feeding section comes with a wider pitch for better material intake. The high‑pressure section uses a narrower pitch to get better sealing performance. Stable pressure can be maintained for vertical pumping up to 30 meters. There will be no air suction or material feed interruption.

Progressive cavity pump stator fits heavy‑duty applications well, such as tunnel shotcreting, high‑rise exterior wall construction and continuous pumping of dry‑mix mortar.
