Stator and rotor assemblies for mortar spraying machines act as the core conveying pair for highly abrasive media. They are developed to suit mortar properties, including sand‑containing composition, particle‑laden features and high shear resistance. Different from stators and rotors used in standard electric motors or hydraulic motors, these parts do not require electromagnetic‑related performance. Their key function is to form a continuous, sealed conveying chamber by means of profile meshing. Media such as cement mortar, thermal‑insulation mortar and gypsum putty can then be delivered evenly from the material chamber to the spray gun, with no pulsation or backflow.

To cope with abrasion caused by quartz‑sand particles under 3 mm inside mortar, we apply a dual‑layer composite treatment, carburizing‑quenching plus hard chrome plating, to the rotor working surface. First, hardness of the base material is raised to HRC58‑62 to build up an impact‑resistant substrate skeleton. After that, an even chrome‑plated layer of 0.03 mm is deposited on the part surface. This method prevents cracking and peeling of single chrome‑plated layers under compression from large‑size particles. Meanwhile, surface microhardness of the working area reaches above HV1000, so the resulting wear rate drops to one‑quarter of that seen on conventional chrome‑plated rotors.

Grout pump rotor uses a chrome‑coated metal inner ring, covered with high‑wear‑resistant polyurethane material. This design fully solves the common failure issue: pure‑rubber stators are prone to puncture and tearing by sharp sand grains. During long‑hour, heavy‑duty continuous operation, one set of stator and rotor can finish wall‑spraying work over 12,000 square meters. No repeated adjustment of the meshing clearance is needed throughout the working cycle.
