(1) Debris removal: Clear floating sand and scum on wall surfaces. Protruding slag blocks higher than standard rib surfaces must be removed. Inspect wall flatness and verticality with a 2‑meter straightedge; the maximum deviation shall not exceed 4 mm.

(2) Wall moistening: First analyze water absorption and water retention properties of wall materials. For highly water‑absorbent wall materials, conduct preliminary moistening in advance, and re‑moisten the walls every 1‑2 hours before spraying. Do not perform spraying immediately after wetting during construction, otherwise mortar will fail to bond firmly with the wall and hollowing of mortar layers will easily occur.
