Main classifications of concrete pumps

Concrete machinery is mainly divided into concrete mixers, concrete pump trucks, towed concrete pumps, concrete mixer trucks, and concrete spraying machines. Mixer trailer pumps, mixer truck-mounted pumps, and mixer overhead pumps are the most common types of concrete machinery on the market.

Trailer pumps are short for towed concrete pumps. They lack independent mobility and rely entirely on other vehicles for transport during construction. Their characteristics include high pumping pressure and low displacement, making them suitable for long-term fixed construction sites and pumping in high-rise and super high-rise buildings.

Truck-mounted pumps integrate trailer pumps onto a truck chassis, allowing for independent movement. Their pumping pressure is slightly lower than trailer pumps, but their displacement is increased, making them suitable for short-term projects requiring relocation.

Pump trucks integrate a concrete pump with a telescopic and foldable boom, offering superior mobility and ease of placement. They have a large displacement and relatively low pumping pressure, making them suitable for low-rise and mid-rise buildings and complex construction sites with large volumes. A pump truck is a machine that has a hydraulic piston concrete pump fixedly mounted on a truck chassis and equipped with a fully rotating folding boom.
