The selection of a shotcrete machine directly affects the construction progress and project quality. Therefore, the type and quantity of shotcrete machines should be correctly selected based on the size of the project, the length of the construction period, and specific construction conditions. The following principles should be followed when making the selection:
(1) Adaptability to the size of the project and the length of the construction period. If the amount of concrete work is small and the construction period is not long, a small mobile concrete mixer can be used; if the amount of concrete work is large and the construction period is long, a medium or large-scale shotcrete machine group (set) is preferable.
(2) Meeting the requirements for conveying distance. If the conveying distance is long and the working air pressure is low, a dry shotcrete machine is suitable.
(3) When the shotcrete working surface has water seepage or a damp base surface, a dry shotcrete machine is preferable.
(4) Meeting dust requirements. When the construction site has high dust requirements, a wet or damp shotcrete machine is preferable; when there are no dust requirements, a dry shotcrete machine can be used.
