Features Of Mortar Pumps

A slurry pump is a type of pump adaptable to various working conditions, such as conveying acidic or alkaline liquids or slurries; various corrosive mineral slurries in the metallurgical industry; various dilute acids in the sulfuric acid industry; and various types of wastewater in the environmental protection industry. This pump is both corrosion-resistant and wear-resistant, making it widely applicable. It has the following characteristics:

Excellent wear resistance: All flow parts are made of steel-lined ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMW-PE). UHMW-PE has the best wear resistance among plastics, exceeding that of Nylon 66 (PA66) and polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) by 4 times, and is 7-10 times more wear-resistant than carbon steel and stainless steel.

Excellent impact resistance: The impact strength of UHMW-PE ranks first among general-purpose engineering plastics, being 5 times that of acrylonitrile/butadiene/styrene copolymer (ABS), and it remains stable at -196℃, a characteristic not found in any other plastic.

Excellent Corrosion Resistance: This pump can withstand various corrosive media (acids, alkalis, salts) and organic solvents within a certain temperature and concentration range. After immersion in 80 kinds of organic solvents at 20℃ and 90℃ for 30 days, there were no abnormalities on the surface, and other physical properties remained almost unchanged.

No Noise: Ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMW-PE) has the highest impact energy absorption among plastics, resulting in excellent noise reduction and minimizing noise generated by liquid flow during transportation.

Safe and Reliable, No Toxic Decomposition: The ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMW-PE) used in this pump has extremely stable chemical properties, making it suitable for use in the food industry.

Low Coefficient of Friction: The internal coefficient of friction of this pump is only 0.07-0.11, thus possessing self-lubricating properties. Under water lubrication conditions, its dynamic friction coefficient is half that of PA66 and polyoxymethylene (POM). When operating in sliding or rotating forms, its lubricity is even better than that of steel and brass with added lubricating oil.

Excellent Anti-sticking Properties: Ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMW-PE) exhibits excellent anti-sticking properties, comparable to PTFE, making it particularly effective when conveying high-viscosity media.

Applications: Mortar conveying in construction, pressure grouting in ports, docks, and hydropower stations; foundation treatment; soft soil reinforcement grouting; backfill grouting in tunnels, subways, and mines; anchor bolt support.
